Trailblazers

Mission Statement

The mission of the Trailblazers initiative is to provide first-year Black engineering students with a head start, giving them access to valuable professional resources and fostering a stronger community within NSBE while helping them adjust to campus life. By equipping these students with essential academic and professional tools, the program ensures they feel confident when seeking internships, attending career fairs, and navigating their college journey both within and outside of NSBE. Moreover, it strives to enhance the Gator chapter of NSBE by creating an inclusive and supportive environment that facilitates personal growth.

Vision

The vision of the Trailblazers initiative is to select bright students and mold them through a year-long program that will include educational presentations, guest speakers as well as team-building activities that will help them develop the skills necessary to pursue leadership positions in both professional and campus settings

Core Values

The Four pillars of the Trailblazers Initiative represent community involvement, technical development, professional and academic growth, and soft skill application.
